Getting Started

  1. Write down goals. Goals should be:
    • S: Specific
    • M: Measurable
    • A: Attainable
    • R: Realistic
    • T: Timetable (deadline)
  2. Write down a plan
    • develop mission statement
    • what do you plan to do?
    • where will you do it?
    • when are you going to exercise?
    • who is your accountability person?
  3. See physician for full evaluation
  4. Gather equipment
    • Footwear
    • Water bottle
    • Clothing
    • Training log
  5. Jump In!
